Stewardship

A
Way of Live
|
|
The purpose of Stewardship is to live out Christ's
instruction to "to love one another as I have loved you". Its
message is one of invitation to all parishioners to appreciate their gifts
of time, talent and treasure and to bring all that
they are, into the life of the Church and its ministries.
Time: Each day, each week, each month, we
must be conscious of how giving we are on our spiritual journey. Our gift
of time is unique, because we are the only ones who can give it.
Talent: All of us have special talents or
gifts which are a sign of the generosity of God. These talents and gifts
are not given to us just for our own use, but are given to us because
Christ depends on each of us to reach out to others.
Treasure: Stewardship teaches us to share our
material possessions. Some percentage of what we have been given must be
returned to God as an act of gratitude. There should also be some sharing
of money and material goods with those in need in our community.
