In today's homily, tears are shed as one strong little boy undergoes eye surgery. Sure, modern medicine is impressive, but the words between the surgeon and patient will have you reaching for the tissues... and maybe a teddy bear. Thank you for watching Father Jerry's latest video above. Feel free to forward our emails to your loved ones. Anybody can sign up to receive our emails here. Sign up for Daily Videos

To truly understand the words of Jesus prayer in today's Gospel, is to approach prayer as a connection between the compassion of God and the love we experience in our lives. Between God's forgiveness and the forgiveness we extend. Between the holy creativity of God and the work of providing for our daily bread. Prayer is to live our lives conscious of God's grace at every moment. This Lent, may we come to embrace the spirit and attitude of prayer that actively seeks out and gratefully celebrates God's presence in all things.

On this Lenten Monday, we remember Peter's confession of faith. Peter is the first of Jesus' followers to acknowledge Him as Messiah, or 'the anointed one of God.' And it is in that faith that Jesus established His Church of peace, reconciliation, and justice. To share Peter's faith in the Gospel Jesus, is to articulate clearly and without equivocation the question Jesus asks of all of us, "Who do you say that I am?"...

Today, we celebrate the first Sunday of our journey towards the joy of Resurrection at Easter. During this season of Lenten prayer, fasting and almsgiving, Jesus will show us how to confront and overcome the sin in our lives, if we want him to, if we ask Him to. Trusting in His power, let us pray for Jesus to give us the power to renounce everything in our lives that is contrary to the gospel. Thank you for sharing Father's Sunday message.

What higher praise can a student doctor say about one of his or her professors, than "I want to be just like him." During this pandemic, God has raised up thousands of saints like the late Dr. James Mahoney. They are men and women of compassion, who bring not only healing, but hope and dignity to those entrusted to their care....

In today's heartwarming homily, a father explains how one single snowman is enjoyed by different children all over the world, over and over and over again. It's quite fascinating. Watch the video above!

"We tend to think of the crosses we bear as challenges and difficulties that life forces us to endure," says Father Jerry, "But real crosses are those resources and abilities that can be sources of hope, of joy, of discovery, and of resurrection for ourselves and for others."

Thank you for watching Father Jerry's gospel reading and homily above, for Ash Wednesday. In the video, Father includes a special message for people worshipping from home. Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of blessing ashes made from palm branches blessed on the previous year’s Palm Sunday, and placing them on the heads of participants. You are invited to join us today in person:...

"Today's first reading tells the story of Noah and the Ark. It's a particularly appropriate story, given our sheltering-in-place lifestyle, because most of us have felt like Noah and his family during the pandemic," says Father Jerry in today's homily. "We've been cooped up in the ark of our homes with little or no contact with family and friends outside of our 'bubble.' We have all been waiting for the rain of the pandemic to stop and for safe dry land to return....
