Dear All Hallows Parish Community,

We have learned that unauthorized GoFundMe pages are being set up for many of the parishes and schools in our diocese. The pages look authentic, listing the correct legal name, address and tax ID of the parishes and schools.

The information is apparently taken from public sources such as the California Secretary of State and Guidestar, a website listing charitable organization information. Dioceses around the U.S. are reporting similar illegal activity.

Diocesan policy prohibits use of GoFundMe for parish or school fundraising. The pages look authentic, but they have not been authorized by us. Donations made via these pages will not be received by the Parish. Please do not contribute to any GoFundMe page that lists our Parish as the recipient.
