30th Annual Good Friday Walk with the Suffering Living Stations of the Cross

Please join us at the San Diego Rescue Mission, 120 Elm St. at the corner of Second and Elm in downtown San Diego for a two- and one-half hour walk in downtown San Diego commemorating Jesus’ journey to Calvary and His solidarity with the suffering today.

Highlights of the event:

  • Procession around Downtown San Diego
  • Students from Cristo Rey San Diego High School will act out the stations
  • Prayers in front of nine organizations that serve the needy
  • Reflections on social justice issues such as poverty, immigration, and human trafficking by Bishop Ramon Bejarano and non-Catholic leaders
  • Free parking available at the Rescue Mission
  • This event is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of San Diego. Invited participants include Cristo Rey High School, San Diego Organizing Project, Roman Catholic diocese Office for Life, Peace and Justice, San Diego Rescue Mission, Third Avenue Charitable Organization at First Lutheran, and Downtown Fellowship.

Who is invited?
Anyone who wants to accompany Jesus to the Calvary and to pray for victims of social justice issues in San Diego.
