Thursday after the 4th Sunday of Easter

“Imitation is the most insincere form of flattery,” says Father Jerry. “In today’s Gospel, Jesus engages in modeling a behavior because he wants to instruct his disciples about service and humility and self-sacrifice. He washes their feet, which means that Jesus comes to us in many forms.”

“Jesus can be that exhausted doctor or nurse who cares for patients as if they were his own mom and dad or child or sister or brother,” says Father Jerry. “Jesus can be the terrified child or the anxious single parent. Jesus can be that friend who calls regularly.”

He adds, “We just have to possess the largeness of heart and the greatness of spirit to receive Jesus in whatever form he comes to us.” See Father’s new video below.
