Celebrating Saturday after Ash Wednesday

What higher praise can a student doctor say about one of his or her professors, than “I want to be just like him.” During this pandemic, God has raised up thousands of saints like the late Dr. James Mahoney. They are men and women of compassion, who bring not only healing, but hope and dignity to those entrusted to their care.

“We too, you and I, are called by Christ, the Divine Physician, to recognize and reach out to those the world dismisses as unimportant and expendable,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily above. “May, we see Christ in those entrusted to our care, and in that care, may they see Christ in us.”
