Some things cannot be measured. Not everything in life can be accurately or fairly weighed by some scale or gauge. For example, what is the limit on a parent’s love for their child? How long is a reasonable amount of time to wait with someone for test results? When have you sat long enough at the bedside of a dying loved one? Of course, you can’t measure these things. Compassion, love, and mercy know no limits. And that’s Jesus’ whole point in today’s Gospel. True love can’t be limited because their source is the LOVE of God… Love that is limitless, constant, and unconditional.
