Saturday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time

Father Jerry says, “To wear a face mask in this time of pandemic is not an infringement on our liberty, but an exercise in freedom.”

Stir up the will of Your faithful, we pray O Lord, that striving more eagerly to bring Your divine work to fruitful completion, they may receive in greater measure the healing remedies Your kindness bestows. Instill in us Your spirit of wisdom and perseverance. Lord that we may realize the power we possess even in the simplest act of good to realize Your kingdom here, and now. Help us to find joy in our smallest offerings of mercy, meaning in our own struggles to act justly and mercifully, fulfillment in doing even the most mundane of tasks, like wearing a mask, with love and care.
