Today the church celebrates the 25th Sunday in ordinary time. In today’s homily, Father Jerry shares a personal story, explaining how his dreams long ago were dashed; as he was not able to study theology in Rome. “During our nightly Rosary, I would sometimes sit on a cement slab on the seminary property in what was then rural El Cajon,” Father shared. He says that he would pretend it was the ruins of the Roman Forum!
