“What are the outcomes of living like Jesus?” asks Father Jerry in today’s homily, “He was happy and content within Himself. He knew that He was following the path that His Father, God had mapped out for Him, and the people around him thrived. They got better. Their hearts got bigger. They loved more deeply and shared their God-given gifts more generously. They thrived and most of them became saints. Jesus’ friends were his life’s work.”

So what kind of permanent home are you and I building for ourselves? The shortest way of telling is to look at the people around us. Are they thriving because they’re with us?
