Today the church officially ends the Christmas season with the celebration of The Feast of the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ. Unlike ourselves, Jesus wasn’t baptized because he needed to be forgiven, or washed clean of sin, because Jesus never sinned. Rather, Jesus’ baptism was a sign that He is willing to take His place at our side, as our brother for the long haul.

In the good times and in the bad, during those times of life when we act like saints and during those times of life when we act like sinners.
