On this last day of September, the church celebrates The Feast of Saint Gerome, who spent most of his life translating the scriptures. His famous saying is, “Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ.”

Father Jerry says in today’s homily, “We cannot be disciples by being mere spectators of God’s presence. Possessing a baptismal certificate alone does not mark us as disciples of the Risen One, no matter what roads we travel, and no matter where life takes us in following Jesus.”
