Today the church celebrates The Feast of Saint Miguel Pro, who on the 23rd of November 1927, at the age of 36, was martyred for his Catholic sympathies. He was a Jesuit, and was martyred during the government persecutions of Catholicism in the 1920s. As he was executed, he cried, “Long live Christ the King!” — a powerful statement following on the heels of The Feast of Christ the King of the Universe.
