“Have you ever written a love letter?” asks Father Jerry in today’s homily. “Did it express what you wanted to say to the one you loved? Did it touch the heart of your beloved? Or was it dismissed and put aside like a greeting card?”

Tom Ciarella, a professor of creative writing at DePaul University, says there is an art to writing a love letter. Today, Father shares some of Tom’s writing tips.

Lord, teach us to love as You love us: totally, completely, without condition or qualification. Help us to possess the humility and gratitude to mirror Your loving forgiveness and healing compassion.
