Today’s Gospel picks up on the theme of seeing, with the story of Bartimaeus, a man born blind. When he hears Jesus passing by, he cries for help. Jesus knows the deeper truth of his cry. He heals Bartimaeus and invites him to follow Him. We are just like Bartimaeus. We, too, want to see.
