“Today’s Gospel challenges us to consider the violence we do to the kingdom of God. And not just the violence of our anger and hate, but the violence of intolerance and bigotry, the violence of greed and self-absorption, the violence of injustice, and the mistreatment of the poor, the marginalized, and the vulnerable,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily, “We must change our attitudes and personalities if we’re to realize the kingdom of God we seek in this time and place of ours.”
