Thursday within the Octave of Easter

This morning Father Jerry briefly explains the meaning behind “The Octave” of Easter. He reads from the Gospel of Luke, where Jesus stands before the group of terrified disciples and says, “Peace be with you.” They think it must surely be a ghost, but Jesus says, “Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.”

This fear carries into Father Jerry’s homily, where he reflects on our ongoing situation with COVID-19. “The challenge we are experiencing is to lock out COVID-19, but to keep God in our lives,” Father shares below in his new video for Thursday within the Octave of Easter.
