Tuesday after the 4th Sunday of Easter

A sweet grandmother passed away and her family began to go through her belongings. As you will see in today’s video, what they found in her checkbook is astonishing.

“The true measure of our faith and trust in God, the full extent of our humility and gratitude for the many blessings we have received, is not defined by dogmas and creeds that we articulate, but by the good that the spirit of God compels us to do,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily. “Like Jesus, our discipleship is defined by the good we do that reveals God’s presence among us.”

There’s a real tension in today’s Gospel between Jesus and the Jews who have gathered. They want to know, “Are you the Christ? Are you the Messiah?” Jesus response is simply, “Look at the works that I have done.”
