“We all seek the seat of honor, don’t we? Even if we sit in the back pew every Sunday… back in the day before social distancing seriously limited our choice of seats in church,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily.

“We take the seat of honor whenever we put our own wants and comforts before the common good, ” he adds, “We claim the first chair when we refuse to change our approaches and habits to bring about a safer more just environment for all.”
