Monday of the 29th Week in Ordinary Time

“We’ve all realized at some point in our lives that we can have a full closet, and money in the bank, and still be impoverished,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily, “We can dine nightly on the most elegant entrees and the choicest of wines, and feel an emptiness in the pit of our stomachs.”

Today’s gospel reminds us of those powerful realities.
