Saturday after the 3rd Sunday of Easter

“There are some of you who do not believe,” said Jesus in today’s reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.

Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him. And He said, “For this reason I have told you that ‘no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.'”

Father Jerry offers in today’s homily that, “Somehow, during our Mass, the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus doesn’t retract his statement about what this bread is. He doesn’t say, ‘oh gosh, I was only speaking figuratively.’ He says, ‘I am the bread of life.'”

“And that to me is the best proof for the fact of our belief that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Jesus Christ during the sacrifice of the Mass,” said Father Jerry in his new video below.
