The 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“It has always struck me as a bit unfair that Jesus pulls Peter’s mother-in-law up out of her sick bed and cures her of her fever so that the poor thing can then get busy and fix everybody a big dinner,” says Father in today’s homily. “But in describing Peter’s mother-in-law’s reaction to her cure, Saint Mark is letting us know that she is truly a disciple of Jesus. And discipleship has a cost. And the cost of discipleship is service.” See father’s homily for Sunday by clicking it above.
