This week, the first reading is taken from the first chapter of the first book of the Bible, the Book of Genesis. It recounts the creation story. Today’s first reading is Genesis 1:1-19. “Your assignment is to read them, but in reading them that you’ll find that the ‘light motif’ is God creates the world and it’s good, it is whole and complete, that it realizes God’s vision of compassion and mercy, that works for the benefit of all,” says Father Jerry in today’s video above.
