You are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world. Thirteen-year-old Sebastian was scuba diving with his dad when he spotted something on the seabed. “It might be treasure,” Sebastian yelled to his father. It took several tugs, but eventually they pulled the object free — it was a prosthetic leg!

Back on land, Sebastian started a Facebook campaign to reunite the titanium limb with its owner. Sebastian was quickly contacted by Carter Hesse, an army veteran. Carter, whose leg was amputated after stepping on a mine in Afghanistan, lost the $3000 prosthesis while surfing, when a large wave knocked him off his board. Watch Father Jerry’s video to see what happened next. Amazing!

To follow Jesus is to be the salt of generosity and kindness that takes every opportunity to bring joy and hope to the lives of others. Be the same salt and light for someone else today.
