Tuesday of the 13th Week in Ordinary Time

Jesus got up, rebuked the winds in the sea, and there was great calm. “These are stormy times,” says Father Jerry in today’s homily. “Our lives are being battered by the winds of this devastating virus. Our boats are being swamped by illness, anxiety and fear. Many of us are terrified.” It’s tough sailing for all of us. But we are not alone in our boats. Christ calms the winds and the waves, in the love of those who make sure that we’re okay, in the sacrifice of doctors and nurses, in the entire work of researchers to find a vaccine and treatment.
